She holds a Ph.D. in urban education with a concentration in educational administration; a M.S. in curriculum and instruction; and a B.S. in elementary education all from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Dr. Keshvala served as executive director of the Educational Opportunity Fund Program and Recruitment, Burlington County College, Pemberton, New Jersey. She also taught GED/HSED (General Education Diploma/High School Equivalency Diploma) at Milwaukee Area Technical College for six years and was a third and fourth-grade teacher at Milwaukee Public Schools from 1998-2002.
Ivy Tech Community College, where Dr. Keshvala served as president of its Warsaw campus, is Indiana’s largest public postsecondary institution and the nation's largest singly accredited statewide community college system.
